Principal's Message
Welcome to the Fullerton Union High School website.  We are excited to have a professional interface with which to showcase our extraordinary programs.

To those of you who do not know us, we have been a well-kept secret. Our Academy Programs, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Honors Programs have afforded our graduates opportunities in colleges and universities across the nation. Fullerton Union High School graduates can be found in universities all around the country. Some of our parents tell us that their students were accepted at all universities at which they applied and made their final selection based upon reputation as well as the financial package they were offered.

Our graduates within the last several years are at Cal State University campuses in Dominguez Hills, Fullerton, Humbolt, Long Beach, Monterey Bay, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Marcos and Stanislas, as well as Cal Poly Pomona and San Luis Obispo. Our graduates are attending the University of California campuses at Berkley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz. Private Universities with our graduates include Azusa Pacific, Baylor, Biola, Boston, Bradley, Brigham Young, Cal Lutheran, Carnegie Mellon, Chapman, Columbia, Concordia, Cornell, Georgetown, Hofstra, Johnson and Whales, Life Pacific, Loyola Marymount, Mercer, Mount Holyoke, New York University, Point Loma, Scripps, Stanford University, United States Naval Academy, University of Nevada, University of Puget Sound, University of San Francisco, University of Southern California, Westmont, and Vanguard. Others attend Arizona State, University of Arizona, University of Michigan, West Point, Western Kentucky, Yale, the Art Institute, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing, DeVry, Mesa Academy, Newbridge College, and the College of Saint Rose.

Our students are also beneficiaries of the University of California’s Eligibility in the Local Context (ELC) Program which guarantees acceptance by the University of California system of students who are in the top 4 percent of their class as juniors. This takes a tremendous amount of pressure off of those students in the top 4 percent, knowing that their position has been saved while they focus on how to finance their post secondary choices. Scholarship opportunities are also enhanced for those students who compete for the top spots in their class.

Students who successfully take the most rigorous courses in our Honors, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate programs and pass the end-of-year exams in those programs are awarded college credit that allows them to enter college at sophomore status, saving their parents a year’s worth of tuition and fees and allowing them as students to enter their major field of study sooner.

One of our relatively young programs, Speech and Debate, which is open to all students, can boast a great track record in helping students get to college. In the class of 2008 all graduating seniors were accepted into the colleges of their choices and were awarded college scholarships.
