ELIGIBILITY AND ADMISSION QUALIFICATION

INCOMING SENIOR APPLICATIONS NOT ACCEPTED

Check List for Application

  • Completed Application Form

  • Personal Introduction Letter

  • Most recent standardized test scores 

  • Unofficial copy of  most recent transcript with first semester grades  

  • Copy of school discipline record or letter from school counselor detailing student’s conduct. 

  • Copy of IEP if you are on one
  • Copy of 504 plan if you are on one

 

  • Must submit an application by Sept 1st.

 

All Admission into a program at FUHS is determined by the evaluation of the submitted material by School Administration. If you are accepted into our program, you will be notified and will receive a letter of acceptance, via email; this could take up to 3 weeks.   (We will not begin to review applications until after Feb 28th)

 

Once you have received the acceptance letter: 

  • Students who do not live in the Fullerton Union High School attendance area who are transferring from private schools must obtain a transfer appropriate to the resident school.

  • Intra-District transfer students (living within the FJUHSD) who have not done open enrollment must present a copy of their FUHS Special Program acceptance letter and obtain the Intra-district transfer from the high school of residence. Deadline for Intra-District transfers is Sept. 1st. 2024

  • Inter-District transfer students (living outside the FJUHSD) must obtain a request for transfer form from their home school district. This form should be completed and presented along with a copy of their FUHS Special Program acceptance letter to their resident district. (Do not get released from your home district until you are accepted into an FUHS program)

  • Obtain, if necessary, an inter-SELPA agreement approved by both the Special Education Local Program Area (SELPA) that serves the student’s school district of residence and the North Orange County SELPA.

  • The ability of FUHS to meet the educational needs of the student applicant based on the student’s IEP and/or 504 Accommodation Plan.

  • Physical space limitations may be a factor in accepting out-of-district students.
     

Additional Information

  • All FUHS Special Programs are three years. 

  • Applicants who have met the requirements by the due date, will receive a letter of notification.

  •  Incomplete applications - missing any of the necessary items – will not be considered for entrance in the initial applicant pool.  Subsequent candidates’ acceptance will depend upon available space within the program
