Fullerton Union High School

Mr. Caffrey has dedicated 31 years to education. Prior to his appointment as Principal, he served FUHS from 2020 to 2024 as Assistant Principal of Student Activities (APSA) and Assistant Principal of Instruction & Operations (APIO). He joined the district in 2009 as a Special Education teacher and Head Football Coach at Sunny Hills High School. In 2013, he became the school’s Athletic Director, serving in that role until 2020. Before joining the district, Mr. Caffrey was the Head Football Coach, Head Baseball Coach, and Athletic Director at Whittier Christian High School.

Mr. Caffrey and his wife, Deanna, live in Placentia and have four children: Jessica (29), Bryce (27), Faith (25), and Cade (25). Jessica, a graduate of CSUF, is a Special Education Teacher at SHHS. She is married to Turner Buis, a Special Education Teacher at Chino High School, and together they have a daughter, Charlotte (18 months). Bryce, also a graduate of CSUF, is a Special Education Teacher at Valley View High School. He is married to Stephanie, and they have a daughter, Magnolia (10 months). Faith, a graduate of CSUF, is a Special Education Teacher at Esperanza High School and is in a long-term relationship with Zach Ruiz, who is pursuing a career in firefighting. Cade, a graduate of Pacific University, works for a global fruit company in Hillsboro, Oregon, and is engaged to Taya.
