Automotive Academy

Students in the Automotive Academy can earn a cord with the following accomplishments:

  • Complete 720 hours (4 years) of Auto Body Repair courses
  • Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA in Auto Body Repair courses
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 Total GPA
  • Complete a minimum of one of the following:
    • Recieve an I-Car (Inter-Industry Conference on Automotive Collision Repair) Industry Certification
    • Pass an ASE (Automotive Service Excellence)  Industry Certification exam

As the newest Academy at FUHS, the first graduating class of Automotive Academy students will be part of the class of 2019.

Academy Timeline

Due to the unique nature of this program, you could technically accomplish the 720 hour requirement in less than four years. Even if you can't take Auto for a year, you could still be eligible for a cord.

Because you can take multiple periods of this elective, and because you can progress on a semester basis in addition to the yearly progression, it is possible to get the hours in less than four years. Please contact the instructor for more information.
