OCTA Youth Ride Free Wave Cards
OCTA Youth Ride Free Program
Students ages 6–18 can continue riding OC Bus for free through the Youth Ride Free program using a Wave card. To ensure uninterrupted access to free transportation, families should review the updated Wave card requirements for the 2026–27 school year. Youth Ride Free status must be renewed every two years, and a parent or guardian is required to complete the renewal process.
Students with existing Wave cards must renew their Youth Ride Free status to continue receiving free rides after September 30, 2026. Students who do not yet have a Wave card must request one through the online application.
Families are encouraged to complete the process before the September 30 deadline.
